I love the feeling of exhilaration when trying something new and the journey each artwork takes as I respond intuitively to the often spontaneous, happenings on the surface.
And while I have always been captivated by the creative process, intellectual challenge, and spontaneity of watercolour, my interest in an array of mediums, application processes and surfaces is growing. My recent work continues to evolve and most recently reflects a fusion of both recognisable and abstract imagery. I enjoy a variety of mixed media including collage, monotype, drawing and painting, sometimes within the same painting.
In Annette’s emerging artist group, Discovering and Developing Your Own Artistic Style for All Mediums, the mentoring focus will be on developing confidence and clarity in your artistic path. If you’re already skilled in technique but seek guidance in developing a cohesive body of work, exploring a specific theme, or finding your unique artist’s voice she’s here to support you.
Annette’s aspiring artist group, Exploring Watercolour – Technique & Beyond, will be customized to the needs of the group whether you’re a novice or grappling with technique. Floral subjects offer ideal inspiration for enhancing watercolor skills and Annette will assist in troubleshooting any challenges you encounter with this captivating medium. Please see examples below.
