MEDIUMS: Architectural | Fine Art | Landscape | Portrait SPECIALTY: ✔ Artistic Process & Mindset ✔ Critiques ✔ Finding Your Artistic Style
One of my favorite quotes from the 12th century German Theologian, Mister Eckhart:
“Art is not just for special people but everyone is a special kind of an artist.”
My goal is to help everyone discover their inner artist, the artist they were born with. Through the medium of photography, be in black and white or color, the same principles of vision apply:
Attention
Intention
Awareness
By using the exercises I’ve developed over many years, students of photography will discover the qualities that separate an enduringly meaningful photograph from an ordinary and quickly forgotten image.
After my first workshop with Minor White in 1967 I dedicated my life to the pursuit of expanding my awareness and the search for the connections between myself and nature. I have been photographing and exhibiting my work ever since in the hope of inspiring others to also follow their heart.
As the 13th Century Persian Poet Rum said,
“Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.”
