Meet Lisa Boardwine

Oil | Acrylic | Mixed Media

My mentorship group will focus on helping others to further their artistic journey. Through demos, discussion, sharing of knowledge- we will take this journey together. I want your sessions to be an enjoyable and enriching process of personal growth in your unique artistic experience. I will support, encourage and inspire you in advancing your authentic, artistic voice and the goals you aspire to for your future art endeavors.

Essential to the language of my art is the intuitive use of layers, texture, mark-making and color. The work evolves from the abstraction of nature and organic landforms, as well as from captured memories and pure emotion. The intent is to create a sense of mystery, a “history” on the canvas, through many layers of transparent and opaque paint. A gestural quality directs me as I add, subtract, splatter and drip, overlap or scratch away during my painting process. Each painting emerges into its’ own final creation.

My energy and passion are then recorded in paint. This work is an expression of my soul and my experiences, presented in a painterly language.

Meet Lee Munn

Oil | Acrylic | Watercolor

Lee is a landscape style artist born in Hamilton Ontario. His formal art education began over 40 years ago, and continued through his late teens when he studied ‘Fine Arts’ at DVSA and ‘Arts & Graphic Design’ at George Brown and Sheridan College.

Lee’s a firm believer in painting his home city & province. He travels all over Ontario in all seasons both painting small pieces on location and taking photographs, then bringing them home to his studio to turn into larger paintings. Nature and the outdoors have always played a strong role in his art. All paintings were done while listening to one band. No matter the length, it is still the same band. All paintings are named to a line from the music that went with it, many paintings named by the bands.
