MEDIUMS: Acrylic | Digital | Mixed Media SPECIALTY: ✔ Artistic Process & Mindset ✔ Color ✔ Finding Your Artistic Style
My name is Pepa, and I am an Australian Artist, Surfer, and Traveler (26 countries and counting!) based in Central America. I have over 20 years of international experience creating digital and analog art, and have painted 311 murals in 9 countries.
My formal training in Graphic Design has influenced my art, and blending traditional analog artistic techniques with computer-based digital design has been instrumental in developing my unique style.
I have chosen a life less ordinary in pursuit of my creative passion, and I I would like to inspire others to follow their creative passion and curate a life that is a work of art. A life that is inspired, authentic and fulfilling. I believe that your creativity is the truest expression of who you are. And the more you know who you truly are, the more your life and your creativity will flow.

MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST
My name is Pepa, and I am an Australian Artist, Surfer, and Traveler (26 countries and counting!). I have over 20 years of international experience creating digital and analog art, and have painted 316 murals in 9 countries.
I have chosen a life less ordinary in pursuit of my creative passion. My artwork is both inspired by, and the result of, my nomadic surfer lifestyle. My art and my life is a constant and evolving exploration of travel, nature, design, surfing, photography, tarot, colour, textures, textiles, Taoism, and all things tropical.
As a young creative I was heavily influenced by the style and techniques of street art, looking up to artists such as Shepard Fairey, Space Invader and Banksy. And I still love to incorporate techniques such as stencils and collage into my work whenever it’s applicable.
My formal training in Graphic Design has influenced my art, and blending traditional analog artistic techniques with computer-based digital design has been instrumental in developing my unique style.
After graduating from the Queensland Institute of Graphic Art in Australia in 1999, my first job was at Australia’s Surfing Life Magazine (back when publishing was still a thing!) This experience fueled my passion for surfing, and strengthened my skills in design layout, typography and photography.
From there I worked for an advertising agency, developing my skills in marketing, corporate identity and branding.
I then worked for an Apparel company in the action sports industry, designing clothing and graphics and textile prints for apparel, bikinis, accessories and wetsuits. I was focused on product development and technical specifications, and visited Asia frequently during this time.
In 2004 I was transferred to work in San DIego, California, where I lived for 7 years. In 2006 I launched my own company – pepallama.com – and have been working as an Art + Design Consultant ever since, collaborating creatively with brands around the world.
I left California in 2011 and moved to Costa Rica, where I still currently have my home base. I wanted to simplify my life and spend more time on my passions: making art, riding horses and surfing. I continued my work as a Design Consultant (remotely as a ‘digital nomad’ before that was really a thing) and in my free time I made art and exhibited in solo shows, painted surfboards and eventually started painting Murals.
I would like to inspire others to follow their creative passion and curate a life that is a work of art. A life that is inspired, authentic and fulfilling. I believe that your creativity is the truest expression of who you are. And the more you know who you truly are, the more your life and your creativity will flow.
