I aim to build a safe and supportive mentorship environment where artists are encouraged to lean into curiosity and explore. Our mentorship group would focus on how to get comfortable with letting go and harnessing “the flow”.
Artists can expect an alternative perspective to seeing and doing. To take what they enjoy about painting/creating and how to move beyond comfort zones in both painting & growing their artistic career.
More specifically in two main areas:
1. Intuitive Painting: Colour, Paint (medium), Tools, Perspective, Mindset & Intuition
2. Your Why: Goals, Values, Marketing 101, best practices, how to evaluate your options and embrace entrepreneurship.
I’ll support artists in their development, according to their own individual goals. I’ll do this through, homework assignments, group sharing of wins & losses, group paint sessions, demos, and Q&A.

My art is a journey through the lens of cubism, reflecting my deep-seated passion for painting and creating. From a young age, I have been captivated by the power of visual expression, and this fascination has led me to explore and push the boundaries of cubist principles. Using acrylics, I translate this foundational approach into vibrant compositions that span landscapes, cityscapes, and still lifes.
My paintings are designed to evoke a sense of joy and wonder, capturing the essence of my subjects through bold colors and dynamic forms. Each piece invites viewers to experience familiar scenes and objects in a new and engaging way, offering a fresh perspective on the world.
Teaching art is a deeply fulfilling part of my practice. I love watching others discover new perspectives, take creative risks, and find moments of unexpected joy in the process.
Art is my way of sharing a piece of my inner world and inviting others to see through my eyes. It is both a personal necessity and a profound form of communication, and I am dedicated to continuing this exploration with every brushstroke.
BIOGRAPHY
Katie Lois is a self-taught artist whose creativity is deeply rooted in a cubist foundation. From a young age, Katie has been compelled to paint and create, driven by an innate passion that continues to shape her work. Her paintings, primarily in acrylic, explore a diverse range of subjects including landscapes, cityscapes, and still lifes, each piece designed to evoke feelings of joy and wonder.
Katie’s approach to art reflects her commitment to exploring and expanding the boundaries of cubism, resulting in vibrant and thought-provoking works. She is proudly represented by galleries across Western Canada and is making exciting strides into the U.S. market, further extending the reach of her artistic vision.
In addition to her artistic endeavors, Katie is a seasoned marketing consultant and advisor. She earned a Bachelor of Administration with a major in Marketing from the University of Lethbridge, equipping her with a robust understanding of strategic marketing and business management. Her expertise allows her to offer valuable insights and creative solutions to her clients, blending her artistic sensibilities with her professional acumen.
