MEDIUMS: Acrylic | Drawing | Charcoal | Mixed Media | Oil | Pastel | Printmaking
SPECIALTY: ✔ Artistic Process & Mindset ✔ Color ✔ Finding Your Artistic Voice
I am passionate about helping people explore technique, imagery, and content in their work. Image + Process = Content. With dozens of techniques under my belt and many years of teaching experience, I’m well-equipped to work with those interested in a wide range of media and approaches. Having taught at community colleges, universities, and private workshops, I understand how to meet people where they are. I love the give-and-take of critique and the “ah-ha” moments that come with deeper understanding. I enjoy introducing people to new media and ways of seeing, while also supporting them in developing their own unique paths.
My own work evolves from photography, collage, and drawing into monotypes, etchings, relief prints, and large mixed media paintings. With a strong foundation in drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, sculpture, and mixed media, I’m uniquely positioned to work with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.

MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST
Through pilgrimage to places of historical and psychological impact, I have collected a vast library of images that I use to travel between the present and the past, connecting the dots of humanity’s magnificent opportunities and repeated mistakes.
Contrasting images are used to create detailed comparisons of the wretched and the sublime, light and dark, nature and technology. Lines blur and connections are made. Profoundly spiritual observations are presented alongside the moral bankruptcy of war.
My work explores these ideas in a wide variety of media, through physical processes as well as through the use of specific imagery. The images combine with process to form the content. Through the processes of layered techniques, works reveal moments of beauty and horror. Embedded photographic processes help to focus and sharpen the impact of the imagery, A surprising visual language is created, one that reaches places of tender familiarity, shocking trauma, submerged memory and subconscious reality.
