Elizabeth discovered her love of the arts in high school. She studied Art History and Education in university and has continued to paint throughout her career as a teacher and raising a family. When she is not in the classroom, Elizabeth creates out of her home studio in Ottawa. She is passionate about infusing creativity into all that she does and encourages her own children and students to do so as well. In addition to Mastrius, Elizabeth is a member of Ottawa artist associations Arteast and Arts Carleton Place. She has shown her work at local art shows in Ottawa. Her work can be found in private collections across Canada and is available for purchase through her website elizabethmetcalfe.com, the local artist collective “www.artintheneighbourhood.gallery; and through Helloart.com.
