Jodi Lindsay

EMERGING ARTIST

Mentored By: David Langevin, Heather Pant, Cheri Christensen, Brian Buckrell, Andrew McDermott, Marc Grandbois, John David Anderson

Currently, Jodi primarily works with acrylics to create bold and colourful landscapes inspired by the immense beauty surrounding Calgary. Time spent in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan has strengthened an appreciation for western Canadian landscapes and wildlife. Each creature, habitat, biome, and geographic area is unique, yet they are all interconnected, and depend upon each other. Jodi would like to share her artworks inspired by light, colours, textures, of mountains, trees, rivers, the ocean, the sky, and all the creatures that may live in these places.

Notes: This series titled "Bee Happy" celebrates the importance of bees in our lives and also dandelions that provide food for bees. In some places farmers move beehives in trucks to pollinate their crops. Planting bee friendly flowers and vegetation will ensure the continued success of bees so we may all flourish.
