Julie Spence

JM (Julie) Spence is a self-taught artist who has pursued her creative passion after a career in healthcare. She loves the playful use of colour to express movement and emotion. Initially drawn to portraiture and figurative art, she has more recently turned to the exploration of our interaction with the environment and landscape. She has travelled extensively and finds inspiration from the colours, sounds, and interface between people and their surroundings. She works primarily with acrylics and mixed media on a variety of surfaces, including canvas, board, and paper.
