Christine McLeod is a Calgary-based artist known for her vibrant oil paintings. Her work, featuring playful still lifes and animal portraits, is characterised by bold colours and a touch of whimsy. While her academic background is in Computer Information Systems, Christine’s passion for art ignited in 2007 after taking a drawing class with the City of Calgary. Since then, she has dedicated herself to honing her skills through continuing education classes at AUArts, workshops, and mentorship from renowned artists at Mastrius.
Notes: Growing up, I was fortunate to spend time on my grandparents' Saskatchewan farm, surrounded by a large family, beautiful landscapes, and animals. I'm so grateful for these cherished memories.
