Pamela Beer

MASTER ARTIST MENTOR

Mentored By: Susan Melrath, Nicholas Wilton, and many others inspired me through the years.

Bio: Pamela Beer
Pamela Beer is an abstract art Master at Mastrius. For this series, she focuses on the transition from autumn to the first snowfall. Her work captures the emotional tension of this moment, blending abstraction with hints of representation. Each piece reflects her memories, showcasing the vibrant remnants of autumn alongside the quiet promise of winter. Pam’s creative process starts with chaotic marks and layers, using tools like brayers and squeegees to channel the energy of her surroundings. Working with oil and cold wax on wood panels, she infuses her art with a sense of time and emotion. As a mentor at Mastrius, Pam inspires emerging artists to explore their own creative journeys.

Notes: Since these are on birchwood cradled panels, I am happy to finish the sides in either black or white paint, or walnut stain. They may, of course be left natural. Collector's choice.
