Cindy Sampson

EMERGING ARTIST

Mentored By: Crystal Rossi,

Cindy Sampson is from a small farming community in Illinois, United States. She is a self taught artist that was given her first watercolors when she was 2. Cindy was also with a art publisher in the 90’s for 7 years and was considered one of the top folk artists in the world. Through the use of recycled materials, eco dyeing, acrylic paint, and a variety of mixed media techniques, Cindy brings a environmental consciousness to her art. Texture and color are paramount in her creative process; they are the vocabulary that articulates the narratives Cindy wishes to share.
