Jean, is a Canadian painter who feels alive when she attempts to capture the energy of the moment in her paintings. She does this by building layers, playing with light and using bold colour and brushstrokes. Her three paintings for the Gratitude Show are based on her relationship with the ocean on the East Coast of Canada. Here are some words that describe that relationship: “The ocean is my refuge It let me dream, breathe and smile It is huge – so I can throw my worries at it & it can take it It gives me energy & healing I am in awe of its power, beauty and ever changing face” Enjoy three ocean moments I have painted – Action (oil painting), Reflected Jewels (acrylic painting) and Solitude (acrylic painting)
