EMERGING ARTIST

Mentored By: Heather Pant, Lee Munn, Gaye Adams, Veronica Funk, Ardith Goodwin

“Capturing Nature’s Quiet Moments” My paintings encapsulate a deep connection to the natural world, emphasizing the serenity and quietude that nature can offer. The process of creating is just as important as the work itself. My technique brings together nature; through imagery and the act of foraging plant material for stencils and the combination of spray paint and oil paint. By starting with a monochromatic base and building layers to add depth and contrast, my paintings become a visual exploration of the delicate play of light and shadow found in the natural environment. I use a minimalist aesthetic to invite viewers to immerse themselves in the subtle beauty and peaceful solitude of nature on the canvas. My approach focuses on capturing the essence of moments that might otherwise go unnoticed in the chaos of daily life. The monochromatic and limited colour palettes create a sense of calm and introspection, allowing the observer to reflect on their own feelings and memories as they interact with each painting.
