Meet Cindy Revell
Oil Master
It’s been a marvellous odyssey of learning, change, success, failure, agents, galleries, and exploration all fired by my deep passion for art. I bring that fire for art to my mentorship groups. You’ll learn ways to explore your imagination and bring those ideas to your art along with the step-by-step approach I take to creating my whimsical work. If you’re a realist you’ll learn how to make things ‘not real’. And if you’re in it just to explore and expand your repertoire of skills and energize your artistic spirit, then you’ll be in the perfect group! You’re about to reach beyond what you think is possible with your art.
There’s more! We’ll talk about a methodical approach to getting your work out there and building a collector base. In my own practice, I’m re-evaluating trending marketing methods and questioning if they really suit me and I’m looking at ways to streamline and personalize marketing to suit my personality. How does one handle marketing methods that feel a bit sleazy? Is there a way to market that feels better? I think so. I’ll share that with you too!
The key skills I teach are applicable to any style and subject matter. Join me, I’ll tell you everything I can in our time together.
Meet Michelle Miller
Acrylic | Oil | Drawing | Mixed Media
I help the artists with a multitude of techniques through exercises and suggestions. I will also do the occasional demo while mentoring to demonstrate more clearly what I am speaking of. My forté is abstraction and would love to share my ideas of the many ways to approach abstraction, particularly the hurdle of getting started and when we artists ALL get occasionally stuck in our creative endeavours. And of course, how do you know when the painting is done?
Although MY favourite genre is abstraction, I do work in all genres and am formally trained at each. But painting is painting and no matter what the style, it is all the same language.
I work mainly in oils but when I teach and also work in acrylics. However, I can field all queries in art. I am also well versed in mixed media and collage which can be a great tool when doing preliminary investigation to work out ideas prior to working on the canvas. I am very happy to share my knowledge and experience with all of this.
