MEDIUM: Digital | Ink | Mixed Media | Printmaking | Textiles
SPECIALTY: ✔ Artistic Process & Mindset ✔ Creating Bodies of Work ✔ Technique & Demos
My expertise is in blending digital skills with contemporary techniques in printmaking. I teach students how to produce art with a computer, then out putting the art on prepared surfaces. I also I teach how to use old and new family photos, making digital collages and incorporate them into art.
I teach new photo pigment transfer methods, and gel printing without a press.. I work with photo processes such as cyanotypes and solar plates, exposing paper and fabric to UV light [the sun]. I also work with botanical printing during the summer.
I also teach traditional methods of printmaking, we can do relief linoleum, drypoint etching, and monotypes, including gel printing.
I started making art as a printmaker, painter, and photographer. Today I mostly work from digital photography combined with photo techniques in printmaking. I search to transcend reality, with unlimited transformations in color, surfaces, and dimensions. Currently my work is about botanical and spatial dimensions.
