Tony Vandermeulen, a dedicated software engineering professional, was born in a small town in Northern British Columbia. Growing up in a close-knit community, Tony was instilled with strong family values that have guided him throughout his life.

Tony embarked on his professional journey immediately after high school, starting his career as a software developer in 2001 while continuing his post-secondary studies. Over the years, he has navigated the tech landscape, working his way up through various roles and honing his expertise in enterprise-grade architecture focused for small start-up style companies. With over 20 years of experience in the technical industry, he has played a pivotal role in companies of all sizes, including large corporate sized companies and multiple startup companies.

With over 15 years of experience in the various levels of technical leadership and technical architecture, Tony brings with him a unique background in all types of software design and focuses his leadership style on running lean yet precise development teams, focusing on innovative solutions that meet the needs of the industry.

Fueled by an insatiable quest for knowledge and an early interest in philosophy, Tony has shaped much of his career around the ideas of Plato and the renowned quote, “For I was conscious that I knew practically nothing.” This perspective keeps him grounded and consistently inspires him to seek growth and learning, both personally and professionally.

Outside of his professional achievements, Tony remains connected to his roots, valuing the importance of community and family. His journey from a small town to a leadership position in the tech world is a testament to his dedication and commitment to excellence.
