MEDIUMS: Colored Pencil | Digital | Encaustic | Fibre | Fresco | Mixed Media | Printmaking | Sculpture | Watercolor
SPECIALTY: ✔ Artistic Process & Mindset ✔ Creating Bodies of Work ✔ Technique & Demos
Encaustic Medium is the primary medium I work with, serving as the foundation for my artistic practice. All other media—such as coloured pencil, digital techniques, fibre, fresco, and watercolour—are integrated as mixed media elements within my encaustic paintings. This layering of materials enhances the depth and complexity of my work. Similarly, my sculptures are crafted from various structural components, including wood and plasterboard, which are then meticulously covered in encaustic. This process unifies the diverse materials and imbues them with a cohesive, tactile quality that is central to my artistic expression.
In my mentorship group, artists can expect a comprehensive approach to their creative and professional growth, rooted in my expertise in the artistic process, developing cohesive bodies of work, and mastering techniques.
I will provide hands-on guidance through demos, teach effective self-critique methods, and help refine their artistic voice.
Additionally, I’ll offer insights into running a successful art business, managing studio time effectively, and maintaining a sustainable creative practice.
Through personalized support, practical tools, and actionable strategies, participants will gain the confidence and skills to elevate both their art and career.

MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST
As a young child, I spent a lot of time with my Nona sewing wonderful dresses, starting my creative journey many years ago.
After studying as a Couture seamstress and spending several years designing costumes, I discovered art. It took another few years before I stumbled on encaustic. It was fascinating and I was hooked! I immediately fell in love with the medium of wax.
My passion is experimenting with different techniques and I developed an exciting progress using Pit Lime with encaustic. My work is intuitive and I let the encaustic guide me to the finished piece. I am excited when rust meets wax to create texture, resulting in work that looks old, like its been laying around for 100 years. Using layers and layers of wax along with collage, transfers, rust combined with mixed media results in a one-of-akind sculpture or painting.
My background as a Couture seamstress, and dressmaker, influences my work with the use of mannequins busts, fabric and dressmaking paper and patterns.
My passion to pass on my knowledge & experience has led me to open a bigger studio where I teach authentic encaustic workshops. More recently, I have published an Enkaustik Book and am in the process of publishing a quarterly magazine.
My work has exhibited in Switzerland, in USA, Ireland and Germany. I also have a permanent exhibition in Luzern, Switzerland.
